  • Brooklane Hibiscus Tea
  • 2 cups water
  • 1–2 tbsp honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1–2 tsp lemon or lime juice
  • Chia seeds
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint (optional, for garnish)

Preparation

  1. Brew the tea: Bring water to a boil, add hibiscus petals, and simmer for 5–7 minutes until deep red.
  2. Sweeten: Strain the petals and stir in honey or sugar while warm.
  3. Add citrus: Mix in lemon or lime juice for a bright, zesty finish.
  4. Chill: Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Serve: Pour over ice, garnish with mint or lemon slices, and serve chilled.
  6. Optional: Add chia seeds for added texture.
